One Room Challenge- Week 2

Not much progress this first week, but wanted to share some of the details, and things we've changed in this space, thus far.

The walls were originally the same shade of blue as our exterior porch ceilings. Not the same as my dining room mouldings, definitely more of a Haint Blue. I decided to give the walls/ceiling a more calming color, and one that would compliment the adjoining room. We went with Benjamin Moore- Balboa Mist for the walls and Benjamin Moore- White Dove for the trim and windows.

We had the terra cotta floors refinished, or really just polished and re-grouted. There isn't much that can be done for the staining or marks on the floor, but that character is part of what we like most about it.

There was a plain basic flush mount style light in this room, so we replaced it with a 4 light French style hanging pendant. I got mine from Overstock, but they don't sell It anymore. There are similar variations, but I couldn't find this one to link.

Before next weeks update, I hope to have the room cleared out, and at least some of the shades up on the windows. We have so much junk stored in here, so it's time to clean it all up, and PURGE! I'm currently brainstorming ideas for styling these shelves, and can't wait for this room to feel more comfortable and complete.
